Hello! My name's Courtney, and this is a blog about my life outside
of graduate school. I am a sociologist-in-training, I've always been
curious about social behaviors and practices, but I'm also insanely
curious about the natural world as well. While graduate school takes a
lot of time and energy, I try to engage in other hobbies
that may not relate to my academic training but may help me gain
insight about my own life and the world around me. I write a lot--but
mostly academic writing, so this blog provides a space to write about my
life outside of graduate school. In addition to exploring the natural
world, I also love to make things (art, crafts, DIY items), so
this blog is a space to share my work and write about the process. I
also make terrariums and aeriums as a hobby (hence the name, terrarium therapy) and I sell terrarium necklaces to fund future art projects.
My interests/hobbies: Tillandias (air plants), succulents, mycology, hiking, illustration, watercolor paintings

I love your blog. We have similar plant interests. I discovered my love for plants soon after starting grad school and I began blogging about plants soon after graduating. I wish I had started it sooner like you because it really would have helped me de-stress.
