A gorgeous view of my hometown
Rodolfo just finished scanning the photos I took on a hike to Hill 88 a two weeks ago (you can read about my adventure here!). I'm really happy with the way they turned out, Rodolfo has been teaching me how to compose a quality photo and now I'm starting to feel like each shot is well-thought and planned--much different from just snapping a ton of shots for one object on my iPhone. This was a great chance to just have fun and take photos of things I found interesting.

Overexposed, but I like how the sky/clouds in this photo.

It's nice to have a partner who can give me pointers on shooting film, I've been thinking about getting him a digital camera but he really, really loves film. I can see why: the colors are so crisp and vibrant in these photos. I took some iPhone photos of the same subjects here, and they can't capture the depth of the ocean and all of the vibrant shades of greens, browns, and blues that film cameras can capture. I may start bringing film cameras when I go on adventures!
